About Us
We are University of California Cooperative Extension Butte County. We are the bridge between local issues and UC research.
As part of the agricultural community, we help farmers develop more efficient methods for raising crop production, creating invasive plant and wildlife controls, using pest management strategies, water conservation in irrigation practices and reducing overall energy use.
We help the community implement new technology and strategies in production of farmer products, ornamental and edible gardens, lawns and landscapes.
As stewards of the land, we help develop new, smart, and innovative strategies for preserving and protecting natural resources within our climate, forests and woodlands and addressing issues of drought, flood, and wildfires.
As advocates for healthy communities, we are committed to improving overall nutrition, health, and fitness at the local level by providing the education and resources required for building a brighter future for our youth through youth development programs such as 4-H, EFNEP, and Go Glow Grow.
