Event Overview and Purpose:
Presentation Day is an opportunity for youth to exhibit their communication and public speaking skills. Communication and public speaking is one of the top rated job skills by employers. This event is a one day, event where youth have the opportunity to give one presentation to a set of evaluators, who will evaluate their presentation and give them feedback.
This event is hosted by the Durham Parkview East 4-H Club with assistance from the Biggs 4-H Club.
DATE: Saturday, January 28th, 2017, at 8:00 am.

LOCATION: Learning Resource Center (LRC), at Butte Community College.

Register for this event at your club meeting in December or January. The club registration form is due to the 4-H Office by 5pm on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 by the your Community Club Leader.
WANTED! This county-wide event is looking for both adult evaluators (judges) and room coordinators. Please sign up to be an evaluator or room coordinator at your club meetings!
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Day of changes to presentation type will not be accepted. If you signed up for the wrong presentation type at your club meeting, please call the 4-H Office by January 18th to change your presentation type to the correct one! Day of changes will not be accepted.
To assist you in choosing the type of presentation which you may want to do, we have provided a few tools for you!
1.) The updated (October 2016) Presentation Manual. This document describes the different types of presentations, the presentation requirements by presentation type, and how they will be evaluated.
2.) Below are videos of most of the presentation types. Each of the presentations were awarded a Gold Seal at the California 4-H State Presentation Day. Please use them as a resource!
